Rev. Linney is a native of North Carolina and has called Durham home since 2001. He graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC where he majored in History and in 2006 he graduated from Duke University with a Masters of Divinity degree. His call to the seminary included a passion for teaching and pastoral ministry. He was ordained as a minister in the Baptist Church in May of 2008 at the Myers Park Baptist Church, Charlotte, North Carolina. George and his wife Kristen have three young children and in his spare time he enjoys reading, writing and trail running.
